Who we are

The Plate Yard provides websites for independent food businesses. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use theplateyard.co.uk or write to hello@theplateyard.co.uk.

This site is the customer-facing service for The Plate Yard. For privacy questions, email us at the address above.

What we collect

We collect the name, email address and business name you give us, together with the content of tickets and change requests.

We also keep technical logs that can include IP address, browser details, page paths and timestamps, so we can run and secure the service.

Stripe handles card payments on our behalf. We do not store full card numbers.

Processors

We use Stripe to take payment, Netlify to host the site, and a database to store tickets, change requests and purchase records.

Those processors may handle your information in the United Kingdom or in other countries with appropriate safeguards.

Where we work

We run this service from the United Kingdom and treat UK GDPR as the baseline for how we look after your information.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only. They are needed to run checkout, keep the site secure and remember that a form was sent. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it, and you can object to processing where the law allows.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
